In 2000, even if you doubled Pedro Martinez' ERA, he still would have won

the ERA title.

His was 1.74. Clemons was next at 3.70.

...2 different speeds. And like Maddux, he changed his timing from first move to letting the ball go.
When he was hitting his spots, hitters were just taking wild guesses.
