Best announcer in the history of sports.

Interesting tidbit: The Cubs are in Los Angeles for a three game set starting tonight.

in a battle of the two best lefties of the day. The wind was blowing out that day.

I was quite young - @ 10 or 12 I think so my memory is not so good. But I do remember Koufax throwing his glove up in the air and walking off the mound after giving up a homer. Did I say the wind was blowing out?

I think the score after the 2nd inning was 6 to 5 Cubs. Both starters were gone after the second in my recollection,

was that even the best of teams only win @ 59% of their games. Every game is guaranteed to be different than any previous game.

So a day like that is just the essence of baseball.
