CNN / June 18, 2025
Browns rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders is accused of driving a pickup truck 101 mph (163 kilometers per hour) on a suburban Cleveland interstate earlier this week.
The Strongsville Police Department stopped Sanders at about 12:30 a.m. Tuesday in a 60 mph (97 kilometers per hour) zone on Interstate 71 near the Ohio Turnpike, according to a report provided to local media.
Sanders, 23, could pay a $250 fine to waive the fourth-degree misdemeanor case, according to police.

Hey, it's the Browns. You thought Sanders would come without drama?
On edit: I don't know why I posted this in the baseball forum. Must be Haslam's fault

(32,372 posts)If Bieber can return before the trade deadline and have a good showing, a trade is always possible. Even Bieber's.
He's a FA next year. According to baseball-reference.com, there's a $16 million option for 2026, which is pretty good money, but if I were Bieber I'd want a few years with some guaranteed money added to that. With no salary cap, a large market team can afford the gamble. Mets, Dodgers, Houston. I believe the Yankees had coveted him before the surgery.
It would be a bitter pill to swallow -- another Cy Young winner gone. At least in a trade Cleveland would get something in return.

(37,413 posts)But obviously he was rehabbing from TJ surgery and was big question mark. I have a feeling Cleveland wont be willing to pay him the $ he will want in FA. The way we roll in Cleveland, unfortunately. If he is back to his old self later this season, he can probably name his price or his team. He might want to be in California since thats where hes from.
Just when I think this guy or that guy will be the one removed from the rotation when Bieber returns, he has a good outing. Ortiz right now seems to be the most likely candidate - he got hammered his last start
he gave up 6 runs in Seattle on 6/15. Hes 3 and 8 with a 4.64 ERA.

(32,372 posts)and now Boston and Toronto are winning. Good chance Guardians will be sellers/traders in July. Maybe trade Ortiz too.
Call up the prospects -- DeLauter, Kayfus -- see what they can do.
