Max "Moose Munch" Muncy's numbers since he became bespectacled April 29 to correct astigmatism:
Games -- 41
Hits -- 44
Pct. -- .299 (was around .175; current overall is .250)
HR -- 12
RBI -- 47 (1.146 per game)
Slg. -- .415 (61 total bases)
Projected over a full season, he'd wind up with 186 RBI on only 174 hits. No way he stays on this pace, but still, I've always valued most the hitter who makes 'em count.

Yes, thanks for the specs!

(41,988 posts)That is, I totally get the idea of being GM and field manager of your own ball club. It'd be fun to test yourself to see if you could build a winner.
But, since the night in Denny's some 40 years ago I was introduced to it (and one of the other guys kept pushing me to draft this dude named Casey Candele), I've thought, "What if some of your fantasy guys need to mess up your real club for your fantasy team to succeed?" It's always seemed to me it's like betting with yourself.
