The players were wearing a Las Vegas patch on their sleeves. Saddened me. But the Rays are being sold to a Jacksonville developer and I wouldn't be surprised to see them moving soon after the ink dries.

I jest.
TB is on an offensive upward trend right now that's as good as anyone could expect. The franchise deserves better ownership. MLB would catch heat if they let them move very far. But billionaire money talks.

The Rays are a good regular season team. Can play with anyone. Post season not so much. This year was looking very promising with a League leading offense in multiple categories. They've just lost 10 of 11 and dropped out of a wildcard slot with a walk off loss to Boston tonight.
Montreal has enough heartbreak from the Canadians without adding the Rays to the mix.🥺

...I was hoping they'd stay in Tampa. Jacksonville is closer to me here in Edgewater and rumors have the developer (that's supposed to be the buyer from Jacksonville) has discussed stadium locations with investors that would move them there. Wherever they go I'm hopeful they'll spend the money necessary to be more than just competitive.
