Tyler Colvin powers Tim Lincecum's gem for Giants

Tim Lincecum has two Cy Young Awards and two World Series rings with the Giants.



Before Monday, Tyler Colvin had two plate appearances with San Francisco.

Those two men, the Freak and the Fresno call-up, were the two main reasons the Giants put away Atlanta 4-2 in China Basin on Monday night.

Lincecum put together by far his best start of 2014. He mesmerized the Braves for much of the evening. Lincecum held Atlanta to a run on two hits - both by B.J. Upton - in 7 2/3 innings. Lincecum struck out 11 and walked four.

"I was just trying to attack the zone, be aggressive," Lincecum said.
