Arizona Cardinals had one of the worst losses to the Titans yesterday

They were up 21-6 in the first half looking like they were going to coast to victory. Even Marvin Harrison Jr looked like one of the top receivers in the league but it went all downhill in the third quarter. It was same score and the Cardinals were in field goal range then suddenly the Center snapped the ball when Kyler Murray wasn't ready for it and when the ball hit the ground he didn't even try to dive on the ball until after it was recovered by the defense. Even though he didn't look like he was hit on the play he was evaluated for a foot injury but he went back into the game after Jacoby Brissett got a backup TE hurt by throwing into coverage.

Even after all that backup RB Demercado almost scored on a long rushing TD but he let go of the ball as he was crossing into the endzone. I thought he broke the plane before letting go of the ball but if you're the Cardinals you can't leave it in the refs hands and cross your Ts and dot your Is on every play. That would have been a 28-6 lead.

Late in the game Cardinals could have sealed a 9 point lead with a defensive interception but when the defender fell to the ground untouched the ball bounced out of his hands and another Cardinals player knocked the ball into the end zone which was recovered by the Titans for a touchdown.

When the Cardinals last had the ball with a 2 point lead they had a very conservative play calling on offense trying to get the Titans to burn their timeouts instead of going for first downs. After that I knew it was over especially when Cam Ward who has been playing terrible all season and for most of the game finally came alive late in the 4th quarter.

In all my years watching the Cardinals I have never seen a collapse that bad.

and not because I'm a Titans fan (I'm not, although I lived in TN for 35 years), I think the Titans have the best logo in the entire NFL. Also, there are no CARDINALS in AZ other than the Catholic Church variety---the bird kind's range just doesn't extend that far. They should have changed their name when they moved there from St. Louis. And apropos of even less, I went to school with one of their former GMs, Jim Bakken, although he was a bit older than me.
