New rider course?

I have the opportunity to take a course at the local vocational school. Are these worth it? I am actively looking for my 1st bike.

If so, then yes, they are very much worth it.

In my home state, the course is free (paid for by an extra $5 when you register a bike or renew your license with an "M" endorsement).

What they found was that after offering the course for free, motorcycle accidents and fatalities went down.

I recently took a course again (earlier this year) and every time I get something new out of it.

That, and if I retake the course every two years I get a rebate on my bike insurance.
