History in my front 'yard'

June 26, 1814

The British had control over St. Leonard Creek and the flamboyant Revolutionary War Veteran Joshua Barney. British naval ships blockaded St. Leonard Creek on a mission to seek out Barney's Chesapeake flotilla. ((All this a few miles north of my 'anchorage' on the Patuxent River.))
