Need some advice on London hotels...

trying to find a decent hotel near the Tate Modern...contemplating a fairly quick trip to catch a show there...I've been bemoaning the fact that I couldn't get to it on my 2013 trip...I overstayed in the National Gallery...

The entire Sainsbury Wing plus!

I went to the British Museum and the City of London Museum. They were wonderful. But that is why I ran out of time and couldn't squeeze in the Tate(s).

There are also the Courthold and the Wallace Collection...so many museums in London!

We went to see something, MAYBE I'll recall what, the first night we were there, jr. year of college, with the Experiment in International Living, before we went out for our homestays.
