I'm sick of reports referring to sexist/anti-semitic/homophobe Harrison Butker as a "devout Catholic."
As a Traditional Latin Mass proponent, he's on a fringe whose leader was excommunicated for decades, before being accepted back into the fold AFTER HIS DEATH. He prefers the form of Mass that has been sharply limited, most recently by Pope Francis in 2022.
Harrison Butker isn't a devout Catholic. He's a fervent believer in his idiosyncratic, far-right version of pre-Vatican 2 Catholicism.
