In Orthodox Christianity, the "three-legged stool" metaphor typically refers to the interconnectedness of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving as essential components of a balanced spiritual life. It highlights how these three practices, when engaged in with equal emphasis, provide stability and strength to one's faith and relationship with God. Disregarding one or more of these practices can lead to an unbalanced or "wobbly" spiritual life.Another post made reference to this description regarding *that one* whose seat's condition is appearing to perhaps lose a *leg*, go wobbly n cause sitter to fall down go boom.
