As for man, his days are like grass; he flourishes like a flower of the
field; for the wind passes over it and it is gone, and its place remembers
it no more.
But the steadfast love of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon
those who fear Him, and His righteousness to children's children; to
those who keep His covenant and remember to do His commandments.
The Lord has established His throne in the heavens, and His Kingdom
rules over all.
Bless the Lord, O you His angels, you mighty ones who do His Word,
hearkening to the voice of His Word! Bless the Lord, all His hosts, His
ministers that do His will!
Bless the Lord, all His works, in all places of His dominion, bless the
Lord, O my soul! In all places of His dominion, bless the Lord, O my
soul!
~~Second Antiphon~~
Glory to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit.
Praise the LORD, O my soul! I will praise the LORD as long as I live; I
will sing praises to my God while I have being.
Put not your trust in princes, in a son of man, in whom there is no help.
When his breath departs he returns to his earth; on that very day his
plans perish.
Happy is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the LORD
his God, who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them;
who keeps faith for ever; who executes justice for the oppressed; who
gives food to the hungry.
The LORD sets the prisoners free; the LORD opens the eyes of the
blind. The LORD lifts up those who are bowed down; the LORD loves
the righteous.
The LORD watches over the sojourners, he upholds the widow and the
fatherless; but the way of the wicked he brings to ruin.
The LORD will reign for ever, thy God, O Zion, to all generations. Now
and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.
~~Third Antiphon~~
In Thy Kingdom remember us, O Lord, when Thou comest in Thy
Kingdom. Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of
heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.
Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are those
who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.
Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the
pure in heart, for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for
they shall be called sons of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted
for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are
you when men revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil
against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward
is great in heaven. Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy
Spirit. Now and ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen.
