Oh, Duh! Her surgery is 11/10 Next Mon. My Sister's Surgery This Weds 11/5..

Last edited Mon Nov 3, 2025, 09:11 PM - Edit history (1)

Her name is Helen, and she's having knee replacement surgery.
I don't why I got the date wrong.Oh, well.

She's managed for now to calm herself (w help). I'm the off & on nervous wreck!
Lol. Ugh.

While unfortunately others had to go through it - she's got several people, including a very long time friend who had it done, and can guide her.

So any prayers, good & healing vibes are much appreciated! TIA! 👍🙂

I'll report back after.

I think those first two weeks, she'll need a lot of help. But these surgeries go wonderfully well nowadays. How old is she?

I have an anxiety disorder so, yeah. (I got meds so I'm not bouncing off the walls,"just" some spikes of worry)

I asked for the same for my baby sister earlier and she was in brain surgery for 15 hours!

Must have worked, she was home in three days and is doing really well.

I just got back from visiting her, and had diner at the very convenient, very good meals restaurant downstairs!

If I saw your request (sometimes I forget to check) I definitely added my good vibes.

15 hrs, brain surgery - my goodness!
How wonderful to hear she's doing well! 👍
I know one person who had brain surgery ? over 15 yrs ago. Doing well, too.

Thursday

She's been having lunch or dinners with her friends. We had dinner Monday.
She should get her time for the surgery tomorrow.
Got meds for anxiety. Has had times of good calmness. Has hired an overnight nurse for the first night. Be in the hospital for 3 days (maybe an extra day if needed). Hire an aid for a few days when she gets home. So getting all the support she needs.
A friend will email us after she's woken up post surgery.
I've got an extra med to help me keep calmer so I can sleep the night before. I'm the above average worrier.
Thanks for asking.🙂
