(108,355 posts)2. Yes. While I don't doubt she has an exceptional sense of smell--as perfume companies have identified
and benefitted from in people for centuries--on a less noble example-- there is no biological comparison to that of dogs. Human sensory olfactory capacity reaches a threshold that that of dogs just "blows through."

Being a super smeller could be an unpleasant talent to have when working as a nurse.

Which turned out to be undiagnosed kidney failure. After treatment his normal smell returned so I hope it was not Parkinson's.
