Nuclear power plants rely on other forms of energy, sometimes energy from high pollution sources to operate.

This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by eppur_se_muova (a host of the Science group).

They rely on off site electricity to start up,refuel, shutdowns for maintenance, to restart and diesel generators as a backup if their source of electricity is disrupted. This means that Nuclear power plants rely on other power plants such as Gas, solar, wind, hydroelectric or other forms to keep running.
