Episode 12 of "The Orville" was a total smackdown of religion

No spoilers. Just suffice to say that a lot of religiosos are going to be pissed at Seth McFarlane. He produced a science fiction explanation for the basis of religion that's both amusing and an indictment. Some real thought went into it.

See it, if you have a way to do so. Highly recommended!

It's "The Orville" -- season 1 episode 12, "Mad Idolatry." It might be on NetFlix.

and I got hooked on it. You're right. The season finale was brilliant - a real smackdown. I can't wait till next season.

on another forum, a few were quite upset with it.

And there was a bit of the science and religion not in conflict nonsense.

I think we are up to Episode 9 now. The wife and I have been enjoying the series. Seth seems to be having a good time doing it. Who wouldn't?! We especially enjoyed that episode where everybody was fucking.
