This Heat Wave Is About To Get WORSE - Ryan Hall Forecast...

Protect yourselves from the heat, stay hydrated with electrolytes and melons and cucumbers!

And get fan, at least. I got heat exhaustion last night because I didn't have a fan to blow air at me.

Stay safe!

For reasons I still have not quite figured out, I wasn't drinking as much as I normally do. I had to take about a 5 block walk from our demonstration location to meet our group at a restaurant, and could only get about 3 minutes before I had to stop.

Total strangers stopped and picked me up in their car and drove me to the restaurant. It wasn't that I had no water it was that I did not feel thirsty, even when I was having bad effects. Once I got inside though, my friends saw immediately that something was very wrong and in no time I had a cold compress on the back of my neck and a huge glass of water next to me on the table. After about 15 minutes I was fine but really really tired.

SO drink even if you don't feel thirsty, and if you are sweating and haven't needed to go to the bathroom - drink water!!!

And did not sleep well, got up at three and that's when the vomiting started. I thought I had eaten enough melon and taken in enough water, etc. but I guess not. No fans in the house (WTF?) so my room got really hot and so by the time I had my host go buy a fan, it was far too late for me so about an hour later had tp go to the ER and get re-hydrated.

Feeling somewhat better now, after a nap with the fan blowing on me. It's supposed to start cooling down tonight and some 20 degrees cooler tomorrow and cooler, like in the 70s thereafter.

Part of my issue is from a 4500ft elevation drop, it's a bit different down around sea level.

Definitely using wet bandanas and sitting next to the fan. At least I feel like I could start nibbling on something to get some food in me. I'm about as empty as you can get!
