Patterns changing in north Fla

On my 6th year here, just outside of Gainesville. Afternoon thunderstorms were always the norm.
Last couple months, every morning around 530 AM, I've been woken to loud thunder and heavy rain. The afternoons are now very humid and damn near unbearable.
It's just strange.
