Someone I knew has died from Covid-19

This man was teacher in the elementary school my kids and nephews attended. He was well-liked by students, parents, the community.
He is the 10th person to die of Covid-19 in my universe. He is the first person I knew, but 8 different people I know have lost 9 different loved ones. And I have read so many posts on DU about others' losses. This is a savagely hard time.

I lost my mom in 2007, but it still stings. I hear from others that it might not hurt as bad as time goes on, but you never stop missing your parents.
