Jacksonville gas prices surge: Regular hits $4.25, diesel sets new record

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Gasoline prices across the United States have climbed above $4 a gallon on average, reaching their highest level since 2022, according to AAA.

The national average for a gallon of regular gasoline is now $4.02, up from around $2.98 a month ago.

In Florida, the increase is even steeper. AAA reports the state’s average for regular gasoline at $4.21 a gallon, while diesel has surged to $5.80, a new record for the Sunshine State.

In Jacksonville, drivers are seeing similar spikes.

Gas is over $5 and siesel is running into $6.50 or more...

Gas is just hitting 4 dollars at some places, but the lowest I saw this a.m. on my in to work was $3.40. Diesel is ranging between 5-6 dollars and gallon, again depending on where one goes.

My husband got gas there on Monday and it was $5.09. At the rate we’re gong I see $6 a gallon by next week. nothing good is happening in the Middle East or this country right now under this unhinged demented president and we’re all screwed!
