but was trying to upload that blue eagle in the blue wave photo........and when I tried to upload to my signature line, I never got the upload suggestion.

...and insert it into your signature line. To edit what you already have, go to My Profile (link at top of every DU page) and scroll to the bottom to find 'Sgnature Line'. Next to it, click the Edit link. There ya go!
