Strange, I just googled something and it came up with a democraticunderground.org link.

It mirrors the content of democraticunderground.com... the only difference is that I am not logged in.

Hmm?

DemocraticUnderground LLC in Maryland.

The .com is privacy protected, so whois just shows Redacted for everything. The admins would know for sure. Try asking them? It is common to own .org/.net domains in addition to the .com, but usually they redirect, not mirror.

But not at the .org site. You could probably log into both but it would create separate cookies.

It's probably a mirror. There are several other site designations for DU.
