A member has gifted me with a star membership. I would like to thank them but have not been able to find their ID. Can I just post a public thank you?

I can afford to pay for my own membership but did not know how as I do not do business on the internet.

I live on a SS check but am very frugal and manage to pay my bills, buy grocery's and have money left over that I give to needy people or charities.
