Is there a way to block such posts?

(33,643 posts)Don't think you can block them as such.

(50,825 posts)Someone posted an LBN story using the link to the article as the title by accident. Since links have no spaces in them, the title did not break across lines and pushed all the content of the page far out to the right hand side. That's why you were only experiencing the issue on page 1, and not on subsequent pages.
I removed the thread entirely so hopefully that will have fixed the issue for you.

(19,896 posts)Sometimes converts the character or removes it. Might be defense against hackers.
But I and others will get an error for no obvious reason on some posts while others go through ok.
I suspect that it's Unicode characters in the body that the site doesn't like. Again might be defense. Perhaps against SQL injection or suspected ddos attacks. They don't tell me the defensive positions and arms!

(25,849 posts)I tried three times with the codes and by the third one I could barely read the code to copy.
Is this a twitter thing?
Pinback
(13,363 posts)Of course the correct subject line format would be:
Found on Twitter
or
(Somebody) for the win
or
Tweet of the day
or
(Somebody) tweet.

(18,907 posts)We don't have that sort of power and there are no moderators any more. One of the admins must have taken action.
The hosts did message the poster, who then went to fix the post but it was already gone.

(50,825 posts)or edit to clarify. In some cases, replying to first comments.
Here - I am looking at my first and last posts - it took almost three hours for the post to be removed as the poster was not around during that time to correct it.
In order to view all the information on the page, the post had to either be corrected or removed.

(18,907 posts)Hosts cannot do anything but lock a post and I am not the original poster.
A locked post's title would still be visible and continue to cause this issue.
