Just wrote a longish post and

Also.

Check if you can to see if you typed any magic html characters that might mark the following text as a comment. Like < ! - -

Without the spaces. I did and nothing came back.

So I inserted spaces.

Keep it simple.

If it is a network hiccup. I can't do shit about that.

Mostly trying to help if DU4 has this bug and wondering if it's something did. I have a clipboard utility that allows for multiple savings of large amounts of text. Next time I will save a long post before posting.

Thanks usonian.

on edit- I did in fact use the less than symbol as in
That was it. I had used < 15 K

...I always copy and paste my work into Word before hitting the preview page; where I have failed to remember to do this, I've lost work.

For the time being DU4 does not support HTML for many symbols, notably Greek letters which show up as a question mark.

...and had the same problem.

Fortunately it was a short post: A U.S. Lead Exposure Hotspots Analysis

I went back and fixed it. The "less than" symbol appeared in some text from a scientific paper I excerpted.

It's not a "drop in" browser extension, but I did get it to work with two different browsers. It mirrors what you are typing in the text area to a text editor of your choice. I use sublime text. The editor never forgets! Only drawback is that when you preview, you have to click on its icon in the browser extension panel, and you get a new mirrored text file. But you then have versions. In Sublime Text, they are unnamed tabs, but are saved automatically (anonymously) unless deleted.

Works on Mac, Linux and Windows.

I am sure others are running into this as well and just assuming they had hit a wrong key or something. My typing is not as good as it once was and it's a beast for me to compose longish posts.

Taking this into account from this point forward.

Again, thanks
