Posting Issues

After I post something, I get a time out message and I have to re-enter my post title and post again.

The second post is successful. However this second post turns out to be a duplicate which I have to delete.

I was having this issue frequently during the first couple of months of this year, but it went away. Now, over the past few days, it’s back in earnest.

Can anyone help me work around this? Thanks!! NEOH

3. Happens all the time when there's a network hiccup or maybe the server is overloaded.

Can't do anything to cure it.

On the desktop system, I use an extension (Safari and Firefox) called GhostText that mirrors my typing in a text editor.
It is not easy to set up.The text editor NEVER loses its content.

On the phone and tablet, I simply copy my typing to the Notes app (a text editor) before previewing or submitting.
It is clunky to do, but it has a big advantage. When I want to copy a post, or even part of it, the normal procedure is to go to that original post, "Options -- Edit Post" and then copy what I want to use elsewhere. This is a big nuisance.

By saving the text in the Notes app, I can just go there and copy what I need and paste into a new post.

I even copy the title, so that when I paste, I cut the title from the text and paste it into the title bar.

That's the best I can recommend. Anything beats losing text AND title when the network seems to vanish.
Usually, the main post can come back, but the title is always lost.

posting. If a DU glitch loses it, I've still got it on the clipboard.

If it's a longer one, or starts to get to be a long one, then I usually compose and edit it in a Notepad text file.
