(23,710 posts)Posts about people who just got banned are not allowed under the forum rules. Since your post was an OP, I decided to lock it before someone alerted on it (and before people started posting replies which would also have been against the rules).

(9,350 posts)I will review the forum rules. I thought I would inform others of what can happen. Is there a place for that?

(18,469 posts)There used to be a lot of discussion around enforcing specific rules e.g. bashing Democratic figures on this site. Some of the conversations were getting heated and not focusing on the truly Progressive/Liberal values of the users on the site. So after discussions rules of governance were passed and documented on the site. Questioning these is considered a Meta discussion. There is no appetite to reopen those intense discussions.
I've learned to accept them.

(9,350 posts)It was the first time I had come across something like that. I was fooled and was informing others.
That is all.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
