Donating a birthday.

Julian Wallace spent her 13th birthday at an Arizona coffee shop hosting a crochet-a-thon to benefit the homeless. She and those who joined in to help created five scarves, four hats and four blankets. She also collected three boxes of toiletries, more than 20 coats, and another bag of warm clothing plus two bags of food and $900 in pledges for the Family Food Center Food Bank and Kitchen and Flagstaff Shelter Services.

Kids like this give me great hope for the future.
