Silk wood......Merel Streep, Cher.....and Kurt Russell....

Great movie.....again haven’t seen it for years. Watching my DVR copy now...... 76% Tomatoes, 78% audience score. Lotsa other stars in it too. Kurt Russell is still a heart throb for me. And damn, just saw a confederate flag over their bed on the wall!!!!!! 🤬

Oklahoma wasn’t part of the Confederacy, since it didn’t exist as a state at the time. But the people there……well, let’s just say their beliefs are in line with the confederacy.

These weren’t enlightened, educated people. They weren’t nuclear physicists. They were blue collar workers at the nuclear plant.

My Dad was born and raised in Oklahoma, and he couldn’t get out of there fast enough. On his eighteenth birthday, he enlisted in the Air Force and put the sod buster state behind him.
