Millennium (1989) SCIFI THRILLER Kris Kristofferson, Daniel J Travanti and Cheryl Ladd

One of the weirdest movies ever, but a favorite nonetheless.

When I think of Mr. Kristofferson's movie career, this movie, with its unusual premise, comes to mind. Also, I am a fan of Mr. Travanti who has shown a great deal of versatility in his career. Finally, Ms. Ladd is beautiful as always.

Before I knew they were going to make it into a movie. Then, of course, when the movie came out, I watched it. Yes, it was a pretty good novel and a pretty good movie, with an original and interesting premise. The opening credits say the film is based on John Varley's short story Air Raid, although I remember reading a novel that was called Millennium. I still have a paperback copy somewhere among the hundreds of paperbacks in my house.

I have had a copy of it since 1993. I envy anyone who has not seen it yet.

It also stars a (distant) acquaintance of mine... Daniel J. Travanti. Great actor.
