...is that this young lady and her family got some very bad advice about visas.

That, or they made the assumption a lot of people would make - that "working," in this context, is specifically working for money. She wasn't working for money, so they may not have understood.

Either way, ICE could easily have just sent her home. No reason to detain her.

... was dissed by King Charles, so, true to petty juvenile form, he probably said, screw over every Brit you can find, no matter how lame the reason may be.
Trump's only a year older than me, but I hope I live long enough to piss on his grave.
Oh, and by the way, why does a British national need a visa to enter Canada, as all Canadians are also British subjects? Something's fishy there...
