The individual arrested is a terrorist activist, and the USA does not generally recognize a right of undesirable foreign nationals to reside permanently in the USA if they engage in acts fomenting, encouraging or glorifying terrorism.

In my view, he was instrumental in inciting riots and violent violations of the civil rights of Jewish American students at public universities, as well as violent vandalism in service to his cause. He should be categorized in the same bucket we used to deny/deport foreign supporters of Nazism, Soviet communism, segregation, and so on.

Visas for foreigners are a privilege granted by the government to a rather select few; they should be made available to people who make our society better and not worse. He made our society worse.
