(13,902 posts)the recent 20 year NIH study that came out last year stating that wine is not healthy in any amount counter to what we've heard for the last 25 years, that will likely not affect the price at all. They said it was a negative to health in the short and long run. People drink anyway. I do on occasion though I've cut down. I'm sure I'm not affecting the price of high end wine anyway.

(128 posts)looks like at least in California the industry is also correcting for an over abundance of grapes to maintain or increase prices. Well see how tariffs add to the equation but with exception of some Spanish wines, Im good drinking only California wines.

(3,251 posts)It's kind of an endorsement or ad, but here goes.
If you enjoy wine as much as I do (I'm Italian...it's kind of my life blood), and the idiot in chief will make it, like everything else, more expensive, check out Naked Wines. It's way less expensive than the stores, I've never gotten a bad bottle, and it supports small growers. Plus, as long as someone over 21 is home to sign for it, it's delivered to your door!
Salute!!
