I appreciate listening to Retired Generals and Admirals discuss him. Level headed, cool, calm, professional and correct analysis. And he hires a drunk jerk as SECDEF whose only qualification is loyalty to ideas which are harmful to our country.

(8,644 posts)where the Marines are supposed to be coming from, is not going to let them get into that situation until they complete their training in, among other things, non-lethal measures. And they don't know when that is going to be. It's critical training which takes a very long time.
To me, that says they value their troops enough to want to make sure that none of them goes into a situation and makes a mistake which hurts a civilian physically and also hurts the Marine career-wise. If that sounds cold to you, then it does - but since the two basic coals of an armed force are to accomplish the mission and protect the welfare of the troops, it's a position that fits right into that.
