'People do have to have basic rights': L.A. Mayor Karen Bass slams ICE raids - MSNBC Reports
Amid a looming ICE presence and weeks of protests, the city at the center of Donald Trump's immigration crackdown has had a major change. A federal judge blocked the Trump administration from making arrests in numerous counties in California - including Los Angeles - without real, legitimate suspicions that people are in the country illegally. Additionally, ICE agents can no longer make arrests based on race, spoken language, or occupation.
