CNN: Just 28% of Americans view the Democratic Party favorably

Ken Klippenstein@kenklippenstein
CNN: Just 28% of Americans view the Democratic Party favorably...the lowest in the history of CNN's polling. Democrats, they have a lot more work to do to win back favorability within their ranks

DEMOCRATIC CONGRESSMAN: Well, you're absolutely right. We have our work cut out for us.

They are the problem . If they would do their job and report on the tangerine tyrant maybe people would see what’s going on , instead they act like the chaos he creates is normal and the dems are the bad guys.

The democrats have fought for healthcare, infrastructure, the environment, social security, fema and so many other things that make this country work. The republicans say DEI and the rural areas lose their minds. Put the blame where it belongs.

If Joe Biden offers you millions of dollars to fix your alert systems and you refuse because of socialism, communism and he wants to control you.when your community is devastated by floods you say it’s gods will. There is nothing anyone can do for you until you collectively pull your heads out of your asses.

And don’t want to. The federal government drives the economy, if you cripple it, you eventually will have a depression. He is stealing and grifting they don’t care. They do care about Epstein because they hoped to fry some democrats literally. Sex ring in a pizza parlor, furries, trans people grooming kids and using the wrong restroom. The democrats had an economic plan to help this country but they didn’t and don’t care. Stop handwringing over polls and do everything in your power to get democrats to vote. We must counter the lame stream narrative.

This has been a soft coup. They control all of the media. Where are we going to go get our message out. The billionaires who control social media went all in for this monster and the tv stations gave him free airtime, when he complained they gave him more money. The people who control the airwaves are moral midgets, cowards and people who feel they should control the masses because they are rich. I Remember the Reverend wright scandal made up by the media and Obama had to answer for it. Trump can’t form a coherent thought and they don’t push back on anything. Perhaps CNN has an agenda. We need to stop giving these traitors air. Oh yeah how about their phony focus groups, don’t let them drive the narrative.

The gop has always been ahead of the Dems re: messaging. This has been more than noticeable for the past 2 decades.

The Dems are terrible at celebrating and promoting their wins. They're terrible at confronting the lies of the right wing echo chamber.

Of course the non-right wing media has a big share in the state of politics in this country. Their "bothsideism" is obvious.

The Dems need to stop being the kid who gets bullied over and over and start fighting back more strongly. And they need a more unified message because they're all over the place. And they also need new leaders. Schumer and Jeffries are not fit to lead the fight.

Stand up to the bullies. Call out the press for their pro maga capitulation to Trump straight to the anchors faces. Be respectful but only when being respected. Be willing to fight back hard, however, when disrespected and lied about. Unless you are willing to respect yourself enough to stand up strongly against those who try and belittle you, a number of people might interpret that as a weakness.

I will say again I support the Democratic party a 100 percent on policies and believe they have the best interests of the country at heart. I also believe the cult squad isn't qualified to clean out elephant dung in a zoo. As you said, it's the messaging where our leadership isn't carrying their weight.

We must advocate for universal healthcare, call out the extremism of absurd medical bills, support jury nullification against right-wing wacko laws, and tell the truth that billionaire influence on our country’s politics is not a sustainable system and must be curtailed with the strongest measures.

If the objective is to win by default, that is a risky gamble. Trump destroyed the Republican party b/c it was ripe for a takeover.
He is a demagogue, not a Republican.

I certainly hope we concentrate on how to repair our standing with voters.

My preference is to get behind Democrats with strong communication skills who can spell out what’s at stake in down-to-earth, easily understood, everyday, outside-the-Beltway language. I’m so sick of consultant speak, focus-group speak, big donor speak.

Obviously something has gone wrong for for us to have a favorable average of around 28%. That’s heartbreaking.

and clear policy objectives. In addition, if we need to take one policy at a time, and show what Trump has done, how that pain translates to THEM in their red states.

We must also encourage Dems to attend town halls, let them vent, and listen to what they want from their elected officials.

I like what Senator Murphy has been doing, great approach...my NY Senators have not filled those shoes, IMO, not at all.
