may well be a distraction as far as Trump**(*) is concerned. But not every Republican politician, or whatever you call those fascists in Trump**(*)'s employ, is that dumb. They are well aware that the release of the Epstein files would (hopefully will) be the end of him. But if they can use him to grab at more political capital and more hard control, they wil not be SOL when he goes down, and the jackboots will remain firmly in place and keep coming down harder. That is what worries me about the "federalization" of DC. Even more, that is what worries me about their gerrymandering. That is where the actual danger to the Republic is.

I am not suggesting we forget about Epstein. On the contrary, we need to push this as hard as we can, because it rattles them all, not just the Apricot Antichrist. But quietly among ourselves we need to look very hard at these seemingly ridiculous power grabs and do everything we can to undercut them.
