I'm with you. They still have a thing for Luke because of his father(?) but he is not a favorite of mine Deuxcents 4 hrs ago #3
Oh, I did like Tim Russert, but his son is not a favorite of mine, either. I can't see him "fitting in." Rhiannon12866 3 hrs ago #4

I liked the combination of Michael, Symone and Alicia on the previous early Weekend show and was pleased that they were still together on The Weeknight. Good for Alicia (who I liked a lot on her previous solo show) and I'm a big fan of Velshi, but I can't see Luke Russert fitting in.

I was surprised to read some of his commentary on this administration ….pleasantly surprised.

He seems to always be available to fill in whenever needed, he is really good at hosting shows, he's been willing to go to dangerous locations and now it looks like he is taking over the Big Board on election nights. His perspectives are interesting, his grasp of facts superb and he is both likeable and watchable. He should take over lightweight Katy Tur's hour. He has twice the talent.

I make it a point to watch his morning show since I learn so much - and I'm sure going to miss his three solo hours. Plus, I still think he should have an award from his broadcast from the Ukraine border at the start of that war. And I happened to be watching when he was shot in the leg with a rubber bullet when troops shut down protesters during the felon's previous term. I sure agree that he can - and does - do anything.
