But in order to do it, the New York Times reports that they needed to go through Washington first — by currying favor with lawmakers, and invoking the Trump name. I note this commentator won’t use the term corruption even though that is what he is describing. Possibly concerned the Trumps will harass him.

There was a time when the US newspapers and television news was full of stories of the immense corruption of foreign regimes,.

Now they either fear to call out what is happening here as corruption or they are silent because they prefer and support corrupt government.
