Planned Parenthood CEO slams abortion pill ruling: 'Trying to do another national abortion ban' - The Weekend Primetime

The maker of one of the most popular abortion pills on the market is fighting back after a court restricted access to it. A federal appeals court temporarily barred abortion providers from prescribing mifepristone through telemedicine and sending prescriptions through the mail.

Today, the company that makes mifepristone filed an emergency appeal to the Supreme Court demanding access to the drug be fully restored. President and CEO of Planned Parenthood and the Planned Parenthood Action Fund, Alexis McGill Johnson, joins “The Weekend: Primetime” to discuss the ruling’s impact on reproductive health care access and why she says abortion bans have made pregnancy more dangerous. - Aired on 05/02/2026.
