The Fed Chair's power move: "It's not Trump versus the Fed, it's Trump versus the American people" - The Weekend Primetime

Jerome Powell announced his plans to stay at the central bank beyond his chairmanship, which ends this month. A move he deems necessary given the legal threats made against him, and Trump's ongoing move to assert more control over the Federal Reserve.

Justin Wolfers joins “The Weekend: Primetime” to discuss the power move by Powell, while digging into the stock market’s surprising highs. - Aired on 05/02/2026.
