Why did Colorado's Dem governor give clemency to election denier? - CNN The Source

Tina Peters, the Republican former election clerk imprisoned for crimes related to efforts to overturn the 2020 election, will receive clemency from Colorado’s Democratic Gov. Jared Polis and soon be released from custody, Polis exclusively told CNN's Kaitlan Collins.

Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold – the Democratic election official who Peters admitted in her statement to Polis that she “misled” in 2021 – said in a statement that Polis’ commutation was an “affront to democracy.” Griswold also speaks with Collins. - Aired on 05/16/2026.

... And Democrats don't want to look like we're spiking grandma just to poke TACO in the eye.

It could set a precedent for one thing. Also, Peters sure does sound like she wants to return to her job. She stated she "will never do it again".

Now the Chief Spirochete will get another opportunity to talk about how crooked the election was, with evidence provided by a Dem governor pardoning this crook!

Terrible move, knifed the Dem Secretary of State at the same time! And when she gets pissed, and damn she needs to, it will be "Colorado Dems in Pardon Disarray".

What would Ron DeSantis have done given a similar case, except Ms. Smith being a Democrat? Yeah, I know.
