A look at the new regulations and incentives in the housing bill set to become law - PBS NewsHour

A sweeping new housing bill is set to become law, even without the president's signature. The measure passed Congress with bipartisan support, but Trump refused to sign it in protest of the GOP Senate’s failure to approve his election legislation, known as the SAVE Act. Barring a last-minute veto, the bill will usher in new housing regulations and incentives. Lisa Desjardins reports. - Aired on 07/10/2026.

With a little landscaping, they are quite attractive and don’t look at all like the old “trailer parks”. Granted, a few older locations still exist but the newer parks put their homes on slabs with a front porch, steps and the requirements for securing the home are up to new codes. This bill sounds like it will help build more affordable housing for communities with older people and then have family type communities for kids. Hope no last minute tricks derail this

2. That's what I'm hoping, too, without the felon's interference. It's just past midnight, does that mean it's now law??

And have the cameras on him as he fulfills a promise but his heart isn’t in it..his heart is in the destruction of our voting system..the heart of our democracy..as he needs to manipulate the process as much as possible for him to win..which is all he cares about because he’s gonna have to face his crimes when he’s no longer got the protection to keep him from the law.

I figure that either means he's having another tantrum or he's up to more tactics to screw over the country. And Thom Hartmann said the housing bill becomes law at midnight Eastern time. Either way, I'm guessing that the felon-in-chief has a lot more than this bill on his mind.

It's impossible to know what his issues are tonight, the housing bill, his war with Iran, pressure to finally pay E. Jean Carroll, he lost his effort to overturn birthright citizenship, the upcoming midterms, the list is endless.
