Ukraine's Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Wednesday he proposed an Easter ceasefire during a video-call with US negotiators and NATO chief Mark Rutte.

Zelensky said he had spoken "in detail" with Donald Trump's envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner. US Senator Lindsey Graham and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte also participated in the call, he said during his nightly video address. "Silence at Easter could be exactly the signal that will tell everyone: diplomacy can be successful," Zelenskyy said. - 04/02/2026.

When it comes to dealing with the USA.
