Trump Admin Openly Pushes For Resegregation In Latest Ban Reversal - Democracy Watch

The Trump administration is removing the ban on segregated facilities. Dr. Rashad Richey and Wosny Lambre discuss on Indisputable. Tell us what you think in the comments below.

Read more here: https://www.npr.org/sections/shots-health-news/2025/03/18/nx-s1-5326118/segregation-federal-contracts-far-regulation-trump

"After a recent change by the Trump administration, the federal government no longer explicitly prohibits contractors from having segregated restaurants, waiting rooms and drinking fountains.

The segregation clause is one of several identified in a public memo issued by the General Services Administration last month, affecting all civil federal agencies. The memo explains that it is making changes prompted by Trump's executive order on diversity, equity and inclusion, which repealed an executive order signed by President Lyndon B. Johnson in 1965 regarding federal contractors and nondiscrimination. The memo also addresses Trump's executive order on gender identity." - 10/13/2025.

As the descendant of Abolitionists on both sides, I want to support Equal Rights. Family members on both sides married Native American ladies soon after arrival in North America, and some of my great-grandparents had Black houseguests in their little houses a few times (and, with NO servants, they waited on those Black people themselves and were proud to do so). Some great-grandparents immigrated from Denmark; I was born with pale freckled skin, blue eyes, and red hair. It has been obvious to me all my life that I AM NOT WHITE. My skin is a pinkish shade of beige. NOBODY IS REALLY WHITE. Calling ourselves white is an obvious delusion. Furthermore, my son has recently married a "non-white" "colored" lady born in South Korea. So I have a "colored" daughter-in-law, and someday I will have one or two "non-white" "colored" grandchildren. If I come someday to a place with restrooms for either "white" or "colored" people, will it offend any "colored" people if I use the "colored" restroom? As far as I'm concerned, I'm a color, too. And I can't stand those racist "white" supremacists.

IF we can get rid of these people (i mean that only in the nicest way), it may take a century to get back to the imperfect status quo 2008

what are their plans for us? they are giving us options.

1. voluntary deportation/ expatriation (passports are not being issued in the shut down )
2. deportation
3. defacto slavery in privatized agribusiness/prison complex
4. tightly policed urban ghettos , homelessness etc etc. etc..

whichever of his "best people" wins that, we lose, but at least neither jd nor don jr has krasnov's mutant power to corrupt everything he touches.

Kara Sacilotto, an attorney at the Wiley law firm in Washington, D.C., which specializes in federal contracts, speculates that the provision was flagged because it was revised under the Obama administration to include "gender identity." That change was made, she says, "to implement an Obama era Executive Order 13672, and that executive order from the Obama administration is one of the ones that President Trump, in his second term, rescinded," she explains. "And so, along with [Trump's] other executive orders about gender identification, I would suspect that is the reason why this one got identified on the list."

they can easily work down the list and get to woke liberal antifa terrorists by the mid terms.

if elections occur in 2026 they will achieve a supermajority and finish their project

my preferred future would be a great victory in 2026 and begin the impeachments.

can we get there? o am not optimistic. the worst candidate in history beat us twice and outplayed the hell out of us in his interregnum. ,

Where do I sign up for my microchip tracker and number tat? Assuming that I might be kept around for some purpose.

I'm more likely to be murdered or sent to a foreign country that the regime has negotiated with on a cash for warm bodies exchange. Then I'll be murdered or die inside a foreign prison. That is if my suicide plan fails.

Only half joking about the last part. I'm too old for this sh¡t.

Love you, Rhi. ❤️

And then I watched "Eyes on the Prize" which was certainly disturbing. I grew up in a fairly diverse community and no one ever mentioned skin color or heritage, not my parents, my grandmother or my teachers. Everyone was different, anyway, we weren't black or white like chess pieces.

And when I had just turned 8, I went to Florida with my aunt, uncle and closest cousin to spend Easter vacation with my grandmother who was spending the winter there and my uncle stopped at a car wash in Georgia. The older couple who ran it was friendly to us kids, little blonde girls, gave us each a pen with the name of the car wash on it. But then I spotted the rest rooms - there was a pink door that said "Ladies," a blue door that said "Men," and a yellow door that said "Colored!" Obviously I'd never seen anything like that in my life, so I started to ask my aunt what that meant, but I could tell from her expression that I needed to shut up. And I never brought it up again. The South in the early '60s.

So is this something we want to go back to, have we made so little progress?? Did MLK Jr. sacrifice his life for nothing?? We know that TFG is a nasty bigot, but he has no right to turn back the clock to that awful time when I was 8.

Trump is prohibited from violating the Civil Rights Act no matter that he believes a president can do anything especially when it is related to government actions. He can try to make America white again as much as he wants but it won't work.
