…not Yoh-koh-SOO-ka. The “u” in the “su” syllable in Japanese is glossed over, almost as if it weren’t there.

I’ve been there several times. Many of us stationed at Yokota Air Base used to take the train south to the navy base to go shopping there because their exchange had a bigger variety of merchandise than ours.
