Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Latvian Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkēvičs. He awarded her the Order of Merit, 2nd Class, for her significant personal contribution to strengthening our cooperation and supporting Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
They discussed defense support, appreciating Latvia’s contribution to the PURL initiative. They also spoke about the potential use of the SAFE mechanism and prospects for joint weapons production. Latvia is a leader in the Drone Coalition. This year, it has supplied Ukraine with about 12,000 drones, which is a crucial support for our defense. - 11/28/2025.
