91. I was living in Washington State at the time.

Washington is a big hop-growing state, so I guess the culture was more brew-oriented. Anyway, I was able to get hops and malt syrup pretty easily. I made some pretty good beer. But (responding to some of the other posts above) my biggest failure was the batch that exploded. We're cozy in the sack at 3 in the morning or so, and the booms start. Fortunately, I had put the whole batch in a big garbage bag, but even so I had brew all over the floor of the kitchen closet.
