1. I know their elderly dog passed away. What happened to the one that was

removed from the WH for "biting"?

I put "biting" in quotes, because I don't think he broke skin in either case.
But, after the second incident, I think both dogs were removed?

I hope he wasn't put down.

Nipping is one of dogs' few ways of showing they are upset and uncomfortable.
A full grown GSD would do serious damage if it were to bite for real, and he never did.
